stock or carbon fiber????
Hey out there!!! I just bought my friends' 1992 2 door honda civic
. He was going the speed limit
then he started hydroplaning and ran up onto the backside of a van which the van slid into a short school bus! So it needs a front end
and i was looking for the parts to replace, i came upon the question of going back to a stock hood or putting on a carbon fiber one??? The color is black so i don't know if i should do the carbon fiber or not!! If anyone has any idea of how it would look or if you've seen one or have pics let me know!! Thanks Drew

One piece front end. hehehehe.
Stock, put your money somewhere else, like fabricating a big metal bumper protector of some sort just incase your friend drives the car again, you won't have to invest money in a new front end when he hits another van.

the only think about buying a stock hood even if you get the certifit, is that the body shop will want to blend your fenders, and possibly your bumper when they paint it. which will raise the cost. thats part of the reason i bought the carbon fiber when i screwed up my stock hood.
if you plan on painting the whole car, or whole front end, go with stock. The CF hood is cheaper if you have a messed up hood and that is all you want to replace. if you can paint yourself, go stock then too. Certifit is like 45 bucks for a hood nowadays. Sure am glad one is down the street from me
If that is what you want to put your money in, go for it.
I've wanted a CF hood for a long time. My problem is that I would rather sink the money into the motor, and other performance parts. It's hard for me to buy a $400 hood when for a hundred, or so, more I could get a turbo. (JUST the turbo)
But good luck!
