Default So i let my friend drive my rex

Ok i let me friend drive my b16 rex and he is in 3rd gear at 8k and is about to go to 4th well he goes to second. Motor is still good no knocks or anything, well the tranny woudnt go into any gear. and you can smell the burning clutch disc the clutch seemed screwed. Well i let it set for a lil while and the clutch seems to be working again but i still think the clutch is damaged.

What do you think

its fine. When you shift from 1st to 2nd as if you were racing and the clutch doesnt seem to engage all the way them you would have an issue. But if you can still get solid shifts and no slipage you have nothing to worry about. SMACK YOUR RETARDED FREIND

thats why you never let ANYBODY drive your car. that way you cant blame anybody for yourself... unless ur friend feels hellah bad and buys you a whole new clutch flywheel and pressure plate, then its ok..everything is ok when your friends buy you new better stuff

You're lucky that there wasn't any big problems. Don't let your idiot friend drive your car unless its an AUTO.

Actually i feel inclined to believe this one, never let your friend drive your car unless he is knowledable enthusiast like you. Becuase its no fair to you.

i did something similar a few months ago, i went from 3rd at 7100rpm into 2nd, motor reved to about 8500 before i slammed the clutch in.

my A/F went ******* NUTS, and scared the **** out of me. i let the car sit, turned the fans on (my fans run via switch) and sat for an hour. then i reset the ecu, and started it up

i also checked for holes in the block. luckily everything was fine.
also, did i say this was on a b2 motor with stock ECU (meaning, the rev limit never had a chance to kick in).

redline 6500, rev limit 7110, motor went to 8500 and didnt blow. freaky.
