i just bought a 2000 accord coupe LX for about $11,500. it has 45 thousand miles on it and is an automatic 4 cylinder. do you all think i got a good deal? also, ive been hearing about the transmission problems with the 6th gen. accords and the recalls. are they problems i may end up having? what exactly is the problem and how would i fix it? any comment is appreciated. thanks!

 

The tranny problems were occuring with the V6 models so you should be ok.

 

Well first congrats on the purchase of one of america's finest autos. The price you paid is reasonable considering Kelly Blue Book value is @ $9825 for a private party purchase. And as far as your tranny. My friend has a 98 ex 4cyl auto with 145k on the odo & has had no problems with the car at all.

 

That's not a super deal, but it's right around book value for it. No need to worry...
