I was cruising on the interstate when I took a left turn and all power in fifth gear was gone. Fourth gear is similar. WOT in those two gears does nothing above 2500 rpms.

It has been suggested to me that the carb float is the issue here, but this is a non honda person. Is this some sort of common carbed CRX problem? Or is it something totally unrelated.


All vacuum hoses appear to be ok. Nothing is stuck inthe intake and I didn't find any blown fuses.

 

In addition to asking here, you may want to try http://www.redpepperracing.com for '84-87 Civic/CRX questions. I unfortunately don't know of many people on Honda-Tech who can deal with carb problems, especially in the model-specific forums.
