this is actually my friends problem. he just replace his dx engine with another dx. its still dpfi. anyhow when you turn the accesories on the cel flickers and when you try and turn the car over the ECU light stays on and he is not getting spark.

 

what year DX is your friends and what year DX is the new 1 ? ecu is prolly fucked. i chip ecu's for standalone programs like turbo edit and such and had that happen on my first ecu luckily it was mine not a customers.

you will get spark but u wont get a fuel pump prime because the main relay wont click over to prime it with a ecu light that stays on.
