Default Mig for exhaust manifold?

Is there any reason (besides appearance) that nobody ever uses MIG to weld their turbo exhaust manifolds?

there is a few guys on here that mig weld them and dont have any problems , if say you made one from stainless you can get stainless wire and just use a spatter shield of some type to keep the spatter of it,

I mig welded my manifold, but if I was too do it again i would just tack it all up then pay someone local to tig weld it. Ive never had any problem with with it, just dosent look as good.

a lot of log style manifolds are migged. Tig just looks nicer, but all welds are equally as strong if you know what your doing
