Okay, asking this question for my dad, bone stock 95 Accord 118,000 miles. So I guess he was considering changing out the fuel filter just as preventative maintenance but the dealership told him the fuel filter was a "lifetime" part and didn't need to be changed. So what I'm asking is should he replace the fuel filter or not? Thanks guys.

 

replace it, they are just saying that b/c its a total PITA to change

My Haynes says check and replace every 30k miles.

But it is one damn pain in the a$$ to get at on the 97 Accord. I can't believe that a Honda engineer said lets put a wear part in a reallly bad place for maintenance . Anyway,,,, I am tryin to that this weekend,,grrrrrrrrrr if anyone has any tips on replacing fuel filters on 97 Accord,,,,,,,,,, I will be very happy

 

yeah its just fine.....till that warranty runs out!
