Default experience with INTEGRA R 2 litre ???

We do race with an integra R 1.8 litre DTCC . as we want to upgrade the engine
we like to receive infromation about it. and well as folows:
1) kit : jun or spoon , we do average of 8200 RPM during the race, is this possible with such a kit.
2) howmany HP and Torque comes from such a set.
3) max RPM . ?
4) is it releiable to put 84.5 or 85 mm pistons , as the space is so limited ?

please send as much information as you have or give me an address of someone racing with such a modification ? awaiting yr reply

Hi, I know who you are. I saw you on Zandvoort during the Honda days. I was also on the track with my Type R. Is DTCC still running next year?

You want a 2 L engine for the Integra? My opinion about the stroker kits is that the stroke will be to large for high rpms. Resleeving to 85 mm is quite a lot for a B18C block. Many people use the B20 2L block from the CRV for this hybrid. Together with the ITR head. I think you can get 260 hp at the crank at 7500 rpm or so......
I know that TCC in Bleiswijk is currently doing this B20 vtec project.....

Yeah, I heard too a stroker kit is not worth. Also I have heard Spoon does´nt sell the stroker kit anymore, cause of problems. http://www.crower.com does make such kits too. There is also lots of other parts like rods, etc. maybe you are interested

IMO: On the track you want a high reving engine and not change 1000rpms to 20 newtonmeters from the 2.0 l engine.

A 2L Integra R can be a winner in the 2L Touring car class, because the 1.8L is already competitive......

hey EuroITR: I saw in your sign you have Koni yellows. Are you happy with this setup? ...and what kind of springs are you using? ...and the Konis are adjustable in high, on which "plate" have you set the spring?

Perhaps Miriaz know some peeps who are racing a stroked ITR, cause he is from Japan.

Sorry, I don't know any race Integra with a 2L, because normally it's not allowed to resleeve or restroke or change engine blocks. Homologation requirements they call it or something...
TCC = Total Car Concept in Bleiswijk: http://www.totalcarconcept.com

The B20 CRV block looks quite similar compared to a B18C block. It's only a bit bigger.....
So, the only option left is resleeving to 85 mm? Or race with the Civic Type R 2L?

I have the first ITR KONI shocks in the world, I think. KONI in Holland (main factory) put it on my car themselves for testing (and for free). It was a prototype (modified Civic KONI shocks). I am using the default plate position (not lowered) together with stock springs. And I think they are perfect !!!!
