tickets from jdm engine
have anyone got their engine inspected by the police? im saying like the zc people, since that **** aint state leagal and ****. i wanna know because if i might get pulled over i dont want to be in hella deep ****. lolol pls. let me know wat did u did and stuff. thanks
I know so many guys that have jdm swaps in their cars and have never been hassled by a cop out here. Most of the cops are stupid and don't know jack **** about japanese cars. A cop made my friend pop the hood on his civic hatch with b16 jdm engine and they didn't even check out the engine they just looked at the intake and headers and since it had the carb exempt numbers on it they said looks clean and let him go.
How would the cops know it's not a stock engine? It's not like they are all experts on what engines are in what car.
I have never heard of the police inspecting an engine unless they have reason to believe it or parts on it are stolen.

check this **** out....
my friends integra was stock height, stock body, stock wheels, stock lights, all stock. got pulled over for a his license plate lights out and modified exhaust. his exhaust looks stock (it would fool over half of you). anyhow, the cop comes up to him and tells him he that his exhaust is modified. my friend is speechless. then the copper notices the vtec controller under the radio and says 'nice fuel controller'. i cant believe he didnt think it was an EQ or something else. then his says open your hood. my friends got a stock jdm itr motor. 'nice 4 to 1 header' he says. my friend says its stock. the cop says 'only in japan and this motor didnt come with this car'. luckily the cop was cool with it all though. but watch out, so cal cops are getting smart.

I passed inspection and emissions with my zc...but that was in Pennsylvania. The cops around me really don't care as long as you are not driving around acting like a total moron. They will only pull you over if you did something wrong. However, I was pulled over by a small town cop saying that my exhaust was too loud and that my car was too low. I showed him all my 50 state legal paperwork that I have in my glove box and he let me go on my way.
Man **** them cops. Guys: You DO NOT have to pop your hoods without a warrant being shown to you. Most cops will say "Mind if I see..." Just say "NO"! You don't have to show them **** without a warrant. If they ask to search your car...say no! You get nowhere by helping the cops out.
yea you get no where but where ever the hell you were going if you get stoped and don't assist then they can keep you there till they get a warrant or worse take you down to the station and screw with you if you"fail to cooperate"
if ur going to do a legal jdm swap..i suggest u register ur car in a smog friendly state..do all ur swap s their..then re register it in calif...but get all ur CARB stickers on befor ur inspection..
*sound smart?*
