messed up bearings due to.....?
i took my car out for a spin after i put my motor together after a 100miles or so, i put it back on the lift to check the oil for debris. I checked it and found some particles, so i took the oil pan off and checked the bearings and found one of them to be scarred........now i'm pretty sure i built this motor correctly but i'm no expert. i ask a guy who builds motors on the regular and he told me that my clutch(6 puck) can cause damage to the bearings.......i just wanted to kno if this had happened to anyone else or heard of it happening to someone.

hmm, never heard this one before but would like to know since a have a 6-puck clutch!

The only thing a clutch can do to damage the main bearings is stress the thrust bearing from more pressure plate force - plus holding the clutch in too much.
If its like a scratch style score it was debris in the oil galleys somewhere that made its way to the bearing. If you have 1 fleck of dirt anywhere in the oiling system this will happen.
Im with Tbone, did you use a plastigage when installing? If so then the issue of putting it back together right should'nt be on your mind

exactly....a clutch/pp wont hurt your bearings but it can scar your thrust washers if the engine wasnt done right...happened to a buddy of mine.
