My first TYPE R got it yesterday
Well, I just picked up my first R after having many Tegs either gsr or ls's. It's a 97 White of coarse #51. Bought it for 8000 and had the following on it, but the bottom end spun a bearing which is going to be fixed shortly since I got a 99 crank for it already. Anyways, had SMS full exhaust headers back, Toda C's will be replaced with some Buddy Club 4's, hondata s100, RC 370, AEM fuel rail and guage. Oil pressure, a/f and water temp guages and koni suspension.
Not bad I thought since I can fix it for about 300 total. First mods will be the BC cams and omni suspension. I will have pics up. Interior is perfect, I dont' even want to sit in it and outside is the best I have ever seen on a car of this age. I am addicted already.

Yeah, also had eagle rods and Endyne pistons 12.0:1 Guy said it put down 201 whp with a bad tune. Hope to put down somewhere in the 220 range once I get head work and tuned right. My roomate has a yellow 00 and it's boosted. put 400 down at 18 psi through the exhaust. I am def. staying all motor on this one though. thanks for the compliments. I knew it was a find so had to pick it up. later

Yes. It has my old SMS header/exhaust set-up on it too.

Congrats on a rare find. Not to be an ***, but how do you suppose to fix a spun bearing for only $300? New bearings from Honda are around $220 itself. Either way you got a steal. Plan on selling the Spec Cs since you want the Buddy Clubs?
Awesome man. I've got #50. Let me know if you want a stock exhaust- I'll trade and pickup.
Good luck on the crank.
