Default lsvtec burning oil during vtec

stock b16 head w/ p30's on the bottom 11:5:1. running custom kenji chip. while in vtec i noticed a big cloud of smoke from the exhaust. what causes this? what can i do?

i only see a cloud of smoke if im in 1st or 2nd gear WOT. when im on the highway downshift to fourth WOT in vtec i get no smoke.

were the rings seated? or.. air/fuel tuned, could have run too lean and scarred the cylinder walls up or too rich and washed the rings, which could mean some blow-by.. a friends gs-r does the same thing in vtec.. it also might be blowing smoke on the highway but you don't notice it in the rear view because of the speed you are traveling.. it is dissipated quicker and not sucked up behind your car like at lower speeds..

ya theey are seated, compression is 270 accross the board. im leaning towards the fact that its not tuned and is running lil too rich. i hope its just the a/f ratio.
thanks for the suggestion

u need some cam gears nice block why did u have it in your room all this time ? the smoke was coming out the back of the car normally it could be your rings seating or your timing may be off but if your car is not tuned it could be a lot of things or something minor that is off like your spark plug gap
