tranny oil, synthetic OK?
my dad just brought me home some tranny oil. unfortunatly he got me synthetic 80w-90. will this work with what i have in now ..... which is a mystery (dont know if its synthetic or not)? also he got me two liters, will this be enough for my 5th gen prelude? thanks.
Don't put that stuff in, it's too heavy. Honda transmissions use basically regular motor oil, 5w 30. And mixing regular and synthetic is a no no as well. It should take like 2.5 quarts or so. Tell your dad thanks but no thanks, and send it to me so I can put it in my Corolla!
haha i dont know what i was thinking..... that **** is expensive..... now you get to tell me how to spend my $10 store credit at kragen..... any good tools for about ten bucks?
Man, there's plenty of **** to get: crummy multimeter, 2 quarts of Valvoline syntec brake fluid (best fluid EVAR), 12" ratchet extension, almost halfway to a compression tester!, feeler gauges for valve adjustment, the list goes on...
