Default Swapped CRX question...

I recently picked up a 89 CRX with a B17A1 GSR swap. Basically thats all there is to it minus little things. How much would be reasonable to ask for selling this car?

BTW: Would have posted in the cars for sale section but im new so I cant access that.

if you bought it to sell it just make sure you sell it for more than you paid for it and you should be good.

Man, you guys act like he's the first person to ever buy a car to turn around a couple bucks. Let us know more about the car, condition, swap quality, blah blah, and we'll give it a try.

Only reason I picked it up was it was goin for the same price an old beat up CRX would go for. Car is flat black in color, sitting on older model integra rims painted black, interior is in OK condition, exterior the same. It is a B17A1 with crane cam ignition, tenzo intake, front strut bar, rear disc conversion, and integra steering wheel/seats.

its funny how these guys bust everyone.. they act like if you arent losing money on cars youre wrong. not exactly businessmen are they?

yank that b17 and part the car out. i would hold onto that motor as long as you can possibly afford to. the supply of b17's was very small and the cranks can be used to make LS and CRV into 1.68 rod/stroke ratio screamers.. theyre extremely hard to find and growing in demand as the hondaheads get educated on engine building.

in a few years, i dont think there will be any left.. i bet the crank could bring 300 now, only going up in the future. otherwise, the motor is a b16. same deckheight, same head..

i take that back, the RS ratio would be higher because with the shorter stroke the rod must be lengthened.. i think you could get close to the ideal 1.75. like an 84mm roadrace engine, happy at 9k all day.

Thing is I have no intentions on keeping it, Not bashing but im not a huge fan of Hondas. I picked it up for $1500 and Ive had offers to sell it for $3000, was tryin to make sure its not worth like alot more ya know.

I'd ask for $3800, and take $3000 - $3500ish, if the interior and exterior is real nice and it runs well. Hard to see from the shadow side of a black car, you know?

with all the prices i see these things going for, i cannot understand how i cant seem to get 2400 for mine. the motor swap costs that.. i guess honda kids are afraid of paintwork.
maybe you live in a better area, but its looking like i gotta strip my car to get my money back.

if i could sell for 200% of purchase price on just about anything, i wouldnt hesitate. id be happy with the 3k and get it off my hands before it gets stolen... the nature of hondas.
