Default Amp in 99 Accord

CarAudioPro,
Where in the trunk of a 99 Accord Sedan would you mount an amplifier?I posted a thread on here in another part of the forum and got several responses. You seem to be most knowledgeable and was wondering what you thought. Also a good ground point in the trunk if you know of one.

I was thinking of running front speakers wires, remote turn on wire and RCA's down middle of car under console to the HU .I was going to splice the new speaker wires to the factory wires that go from harness to speakers themselvesThe rears would go directly to the speakers being they are so close to the amp.I was also going to run battery cable down drivers side floor and out through a grommet in firewall to battery.Anything you might do differently?

Thanks for all of your help

Dave

Default Re: Amp in 99 Accord (dako66)

i have a custom setup in my 98 accord coupe...basically i have my 2 channel (subs) amp and my 4 channel (speakers) amp flush with the carpeting all ready in there...but in your case i would say just put it directly opposite your jack point in that cubby hole thing to the left..take out the cubby hole and mount the amp there so its not in your way when putting stuff in your trunk..a good ground point would be where your backseats meet your trunk, there are some nuts and bolts there, any one of those are fine
