Default FS: 1991 Honda Civic LX 4-door $900

1991 Honda Civic LX Sedan 5-speed (stock motor d15b2)
223,000 miles
4th owner
Located in Greensboro, NC
$800 firm

I bought this car off of eBay with the intention of keeping it as a daily driver for the winter. However, I am picking up an Accord tomorrow from a friend and will not need this Civic anymore. It will need a clutch and possibly syncro replacement in the near future as 2nd and 3rd do grind occasionally. The cruise control does not work. Other than these two issues, there are no mechanical problems with the car as everything including the a/c works great. The a/c is extremely cold, and the heater will make you sweat The motor runs fine and it would make a fantastic commuter car, especially during the winter months, which is why I originally purchased it.

Cosmetically, it has some dings as can be expected. It also has a small amount of rust near the driver's side tailight. Overall, it could use a paint job. However, it looks better than what I would picture a 223k mile car would look like. There are no dents, no accident history, etc. The windshield appears to be very new as no gravel pits, cracks, etc exist. The car also comes with a Jensen CD player that had previously been installed. (It could use new speakers though, if you're so inclined.)

Recent maintenance (within the last 200 miles)...

-Valve adjustment
-Valve cover gasket/seals replacement
-New air filter
-New fuel filter
-New plugs
-Tranny flush
-Brake fluid flush
-Driver side axle replacement (new)
-New front rotors (driver/passenger)
-New front brake pads (driver/passenger)
-Oil/filter change

KBB "fair" private party is $1,475, I'll take $800 picked up.

Pictures will be up later today, and please IM me with any questions. Thanks.

Do you think it would have any problem on a roughly 12 hour drive?

I honestly wouldn't think so. Seriously, the grinding in 2nd/3rd is the only mechanical thing "wrong" other than the cruise. If you can stand a 12 hour drive without cruise, than I think it could, too

Im seriously thinking about selling my DD CRX and picking this up as a DD and pick up a CRX shell for a fun car. I get in to much trouble driving a CRX every day.

To bad this isnt after the holidays.

if my daily driver sells, i'll buy this car for sure. would you be willing to pick me up at an airport or bus station? do you think it'd do fine all the way to chicago (will the clutch hold out?). very clean body. i miss my old 4 door daily.

I'd be happy to do so. Like I said, the only issue is when you're actually shifting. I don't think you'd have any problems driving it back to Chicago. If I did, I'd definitely mention it.
