cx to ex brake swap
No and no. Neither is required.
However, you may want to swap in a slightly larger master cylinder anyway to improve pedal feel. Don't use the '92-95 EX master cylinder though, since AFAIK it is the same 13/16" unit as in your CX (unless you get one from an EX w/ABS, which will be 15/16", but will require reflaring one of the lines).
Ideally, you'll want to get a '90-91 Civic EX sedan master cylinder. It is 15/16" and is a direct bolt-on swap. No line modifications are necessary.
