Default stock shocks? or tokico blues

I have Skunk 2 coilovers, and I have stock shocks or tokico blues, I'm suspension illiterate so I've gone by rumors and not many people like tokico blues. and I'm just running this setup till I can afford an adjustable strut. tia

Tokico blues are stiffer than the stock shocks, but either or, the shocks are gonna blow soon. Skunk 2 coils have a very high spring rate (500+ right?), and you must run a strut that can handle those rates. Tokico illuminas, Koni Yellows and Kyb AGX are some options you can look into.

alright that sounds good. I'm going to replace them sometime down the line, but like I said don't have the cash at the moment so I'll give it a month or two. thanks for the info.

My friend has a set of tokico blues in his 03' SI and doesn't have anything bad to say about them. He actually saved some dough because stock struts were more money then the aftermarket struts for his SI. Just a lil bit stiffer which is better IMO.

well, I have a problem, I just took one of the struts off the spring, and with my hand I compressed the strut and I can hear a sqeak sort of noise, sounds as if air is escaping a little bit. but it's very faint. I assume the struts will need to be replaced...any thoughts?

Usually if a shock is blown, there would be some sort of oil leaking from the piston. Also another test is, press down on the shock, and see how stiff the rebound is. If there is absolutely no pressure, then its blown
