search. This topic was just covered. Something to the effect of, "What is the best swap for my car."
Search is down right now try tomorrow or something.
My advice:
$500: D16 something, mini-me
$800: ZC with SI tranny* << I would start here if its your first swap
$1000: ZC full swap
$1500: B16a << Horsepower
$2000: B18a,b (my personal favorite) << Torque
$3000: GSR (B18c)
Too much: K20, b18c5, h22 << LOTS of work!!!! and money
* = Saves you from having to find axles. Full swap is worth it though.
