i have a 92 b18a1 and it will idle all day but when i give it gas it just dies. this was an engine swap into my buddys 98 honda civic dx.

checked feul pump.
checked main relay.
new feul filter.
tried new injectors.
tryed diff.ecu.

still no change..... please help....

 

Is it putting too much gas in the cylinders? Have you tried pulling a spark plug after it dies, see if they are wet with gas?

Try to isolate whether it is fuel or ignition related.

 

pulled plugs, they were fine. we used a conversion plug to adapt the obd1 computer to his obd2 car.maybe we need to update the intake man. the engine is an obd0....so we had to try an adapt all of the plugs. we have a spare wiring harness off of my 95 civic ex that would work great with the obd1 intake.
