how to change chain?
i just bought a used CBR900 with a very bad looking chain. my previous bike was new so i never needed to change the chain. im not a complete idiot Ive done a lot of B16 18 and 20 engine builds but motorcycles are a bit new to me. do i need any special tools? im almost clueless on the subject.... thanks
No special tools. All you need to do is loosen your rear wheel enough so you can pull the chain off the rear sprocket. Comes right off. Like a bicycle chain.
It's a good idea to change both the sprockets and chain at the same time, unless some of the parts are close to new.

well of corse, but how do i get it around the swong arm??? the only thing i can figure is to take off the swing arm or unhook the chain from itself then reconnect once around...
The the upper half of the chain goes over the swingarm, you would either have to get a Chain breaker, or remove the swingarm to get the chain off. Here is a pic of one http://www.motoxoutlet.com/tuc...i.htm
