Tranny swap?
What would you need to complete a 4spd tranny swap to a 5 spd. It is manual already. just would like to know which parts, besides tranny, i need to complete the swap. Thanks
all you need is the tranny if you just want a 5speed. you could use all your parts over clutch, axels, shift linkage, all that. but you should grad the hubs and axels off of the car your getting the tranny from so if you swap later itll be easier. the hf and std efs have different axel sizes at the hubs. but if you dont have the money you could just do the tranny swap. its great much more responsive. quicker gears.

also if you get a tranny from an 88 i think the clutch is different. about all you need is some manual transmission fluid. when i got mine i went ahead and seperated the bell housing to check the trans. internally so i had to get some hondabond to reseal it. you will also need some 12 point sockets and a manual with tourque specs and sequences. if nothing else i would at least replace the throwout bearing.
