TV Headrest/PS2 Question!!!!!
OK, I got 2 7" Headrest monitors for my family ride(Tahoe). The screens have a S-Video coming OUT of them and I have a PS2 layin around to use as a dvd source. My question is what connections/modulators do I need to install all this in my truck?

Are you sure that the wire coming from the screens are S-Video? I've never seen a screen with that cable coming out. I have, however, seen screens (99% of the time) with a single din cable coming out, to which you would plug in the matching end that terminated to your RCA inputs and power wires. Chances are, they aren't S-video cables, and you need the other half of the cable.
Its a Clarion head unit and it is a S-Video or somethimg VERY similar. Yes all I have at this moment is the PS2. I am more concerned with what I need to make a PS2 work in my truck....
if you have a Svideo input, you need a ps2 svideo cable and the appropriate power inverter... Im liking the new PS2s though, they may just need a new power cable because of the external and interchangable power supply hehe, the flip top lid means it must be installed visibly though, or with a custom top...

Like this guy said, its not S-video. Ive never seen a headrest monitor with it before. Id be very careful about plugging in a S-vid cable(in the event that it even fits). You might burn out something crucial.

Think about it... If it's only got one "s-video" type jack on it, and you plug in an s-video cable, where's the monitor going to get power? It's not S-Video... You need the other cables that came with the monitors...

</TD></TR></TABLE> It's not S-vidio, it's a power and video coard it may also have audio and remote control wires in it , and it will not be a universal coard but one that comes with the screen, [you will need them] you will also need a prosessor, [switcher] for the screens, as for the Playstation, all you need is a power supply, [inverter] you can get them at Raidio shack or most auto parts stores. you will also need a way to get audio from the Playstation to the speakers, if the HU, [Clarion] does not have an aux. input, you can use a FM mod, or if you want the Playstation to be on it's own, you can get a coardless headphone transmiter and as many headphones as you need

DOH i understand what the cord is now, This guy is exactly right... friend had the same thing, cant believe I forgot that cable... its the same with security cameras... think of it as a harness that more standard wire connections can connect to. You need that stock harness.
