Default MIG welding wire for aluminized steel tubing

sorry, the search function is broken and I havent been able to find anything-

Im sure this has probably been covered, but I plan on welding some aluminized steel exhaust tubing together. the MIG wire we have on hand is what we use for welding galvanized steel, I was wondering if that would be acceptable.

not exactly sure what aluminized steel is (is it just surface treated steel?) or have they altered the composition of the steel? if its just a surface treatment, then I presume the wire I have will work fine.

if I cant use the wire I've got, I would sincerely appreciate it if someone could tell me what kind I need, or at the very least, point me in the direction of a guide (or book) that would cover what Im looking for and hopefully be able to answer any questions I might have on MIG welding in the future.

Thanks in advance, guys

aluminizing is just a surface treatment, so the wire you are using on the galvanized steel will work fine on the aluminized steel. you may even find that it tends to weld cleaner and with much less fumes than galvanized.
