Default Skunk2 drag springs

Right now i have the skunk2 standard lowering springs for my 97 civic....i know they make a drag spring kit...i was wondering if anyone has experience with these springs and if they have a nice impact on drag and or launching improvements

Well i can tell you this much...ive used them b4, and i wouldnt drive them on the street ever! the spring rates in the rear are ridiculous...even getting to the staging' lanes it was rough...but on the track, its superior to most all setups...as long as u have a good dampening strut...as far as improvements, im not sure...never saw the before and after times

I used to run them and they were great. They are stiff but after a amount of them didnt even notice them anymore.

Yep, I had them on my old hatch and I got used to them. My 60's went from mid 1.8's to mid-high 1.7's. I also replaced the shocks w/ some KYB's at the same time so, that may have helped as well.

im running skunk2 drag launch on my 00 Si with kyb's and the ride is def not for the weak at heart. to me they are def worth it especially if u are doing a adjustable shock absorber with the coilovers. havent had any track time on them yet but compared to the stock springs the car doesnt squat at all. Personally i would go with the new Omni drag suspension. it will cost you just as much if not less then doing the skunks with a adjustable shock. but i do advice if anybody is riding in the back of your car they will more then likely hit their head on the roof or rear window several times during the ride! it just takes a good week or two to get used to bouncing around alittle on those ruff roads.
