this is going to be my first time changing my oil on my bike. i dont know exactly what engine oil to use. can anybody help me choose what engine oil to use?

i use the non synthetic honda stuff on my bike since mileage is pretty low; i guess it depends on what kind of bike?

 

I use mobil mx4t 10w40. Its expensive but worth it. You can feel the difference especially in the shifting. If you dont want to pay a lot you can use any motorcycle specific oil. My local bike shop sells Golden Spectro in gallon jugs for cheap which is nice.

step by step, great for first timers. i still refer to it (don't dunk your head in the oil pan tho)

 

I use mobil1 Red Cap oil. I dont use motorcycle specific oils. Never seen any proof that they are any better or worth their price.

Right now I'm using the regular old Honda GN4, but next oil change I'll be switching to Mobil 1 redcap
