Anybody have a flip out screen in thier dash?
My friend is looking to get rid of his Kenwood eXcelon KTV-911 in dash screen/dvd and I can get it at a really good price but I'm not sure if the way our dash is set up if it would flip up correctly or not? From the spot where the cd player is the dash jumps out a bit for the HVAC controls, and then jumps out another inch or so for the hazzard/rear defroster buttons. I was just wondering for any of you that have flip out screens in their Integra how it works out for you? Pics could work also. Thanks guys.
Usually you can stick it in the bottom din and it might clear.. I know the newer Alpine units have a feature that allows the screen to come out an extra ½ inch or so. There are a few posts about this already so try searching here or in the A/V forum.
Cool guys. Yea, the search feature wasn't working at the time so I thought I'd just throw this up to see if anybody had experience with the Kenwood 911. This Kenwood comes out automatically, but you have to manually lift it up, so if it did block the air controls (Which I don't think I would car about, but then again sometimes I turn the air or fan on and it would be a pain to turn off the deck so the screen goes back in everytime I wanted to turn the air or fan on) I guess I could just push it down myself for the few seconds of adjusting the air control. Thanks for the help.
