Car not getting starter signal right away?
I have a 95 GSR and for the last month or so when I get in and turn the key to the start position it take a second for the starter to get signal. I have not owned a Honda that has done that before and I am wondering if anyone has had similar experiences. The only thing I can think of is the main relay but my car has never stranded me like a relay can do. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Cliff

Have you repaired this???
I have the same thing happening and it seems to be the solenoid or starter relay.
I would turn the key and get the same response a 1~2 second delay. Now it has gotten worse. I have to go out and tap the starter a few times. I originally thought it was the battery, which has since been replaced, along with a badly corroded terminal. I think I'll try fixing it today, even though the haynes manual says it cant be replaced.
