plastic intake manifold for honda ?
iwas looking through my latest issue of "JEGS" last night and noticed a company by the name of SLP (street legal performance ,i belive it stands for) but they do alot of work with the F body gm cars and what not. but they are producing composite intake manifolds for the chevy LS1/Lt1 (350 v8) i was wondering if anyone knew of any company's that were doing this for our honda engines ? the only one i know of is the AIR, which is a 1200 carbonfiber piece. anyone know of any other company's currently marketing, designing or anything something like that ?
i believe this could be something that would be good for our cars(and many others). and also keep the cost down.

The stock 01 civic intake manifold is plastic, we should all use them! lol Seriously, I've heard all kinds of horror stories of manifolds like that cracking with alot of boost. I'm sure they could make one that's very strong, but I think costs are pretty high getting something like that started. I would assume most manufacturers would rather stick with something more durable and cheap to produce.

right, and i ws born yesterday
good point tony, i was wondering about the durability of such a product, when combined with high boost applications(methanol/turbo race engine)
