Default wheel hop question

I know ... search function .... blah blah blah.... but rite now at 9 am eastern standard time and the search server is down or something. I had recently changed from coilovers to lowering springs... I also put some yokohama radials on the coilovers were swapped out. Now my car wheel hops.... Is it because of the lowering springs or is it because of the tire? (tire pressure - should I lower the tire pressure?)

full race traction bars

im guessing your car sits slightly higher now than it did with coilovers?

It will be hard to fully eliminate wheel hop from hard launches without using traction bars of some sort.

maybe you need to launch better, try different ways... dont just drop the clutch, preload the transmission and then launch

When I replaced my old rubber bushings with the urethane ones it elminated most of my wheel hop problems...... I'm not making crazy power so take it for what its worth...190whp/180tq. A traction bar setup would definitely help.. How much pressure are you running in your tires right now... sub 20psi I would think huh... I guess it depends on the tires as welll Something with a higher side wall and lower pressures will also decrease wheel hop due to the a mount of sidewall flex...

Oops just reread your post... Looks like in your sig you are basically running a stock z6 I think that the urethane bushings would make a big difference in your wheel hop issues...

Yep exactly.... I put them in my car and no longer have any wheel hop. Traction bars are nice but more expensive than the urethane mounts and you have to play with the adjustments to get them dialed in right. Unless you're a serious drag racer just stick with the poly engine mount inserts.

I've got a little motor work done to my lude, and it's got the stock tires...it's got mad wheel hop off the line, it's already got urethane motor mounts, so would you suggest tires or traction bars?

When i had my stock suspention and wheels i had no wheel hop from hard launches. Now i have NEX coilovers and falken azanis's and my car feels like it has hydros in it. I dont even launch it anymore. Im scared of breaking and axle or a motor mount. I just ease it out of 1st then mash the throtle and im usally fine.

aRe the lowering springs stiffer than the coilovers? Are you running the same struts? Did the ride height change? with the new springs?

92silude I'm talking about the urethane bushings for all of your control arms and shocks in the front not just the motor mounts...
