Default Help me light my cluster :)

car: 2000 honda civic ex 5spd

alright, so i searched numerous threads on HT, but nothing helped.
i checked all fuses, all good.
light dimmer is good i guess.

so what i need help in doing is figuring a short cut to turning my lights on.

If it makes any difference, i dont have the climate control. Car was broken into and thieves stole the radio and complete center climate control.

as they stole that, i guess they pulled wires out. i managed to get my own radio hooked up now, and noticed with the light tester which wire turns on with the headlight switch.

Now my question is, what wire on the cluster can i cut to wire it to the wire that turns on with the light switch.

or is there another way around this?

thanks.

The wire that lights up your cluster is the red/black wire.

i no exactly how u feel bout gettin ur stuff stolen.. but yeah what that last post was is an excellent idea so u dont go cuttin up all kinds of wires u dont no what do.. those things in that post are also known as ( wire taps ) there kinda like clips, all u do is snap them on to a wire.. theres a piece of metal in them that cuts right threw the rubber coating.. then u just plug the female end onto the back of them..

check for voltage at the dimmer switch and check for voltage after the switch, if no voltage adter switch then theres your prob, the resistor inside may be burnt out
