Hey i bought a 2000 b16a2 and i'm putting it in my 94 si hatch, i recieved the b16a2 shift linkage with the swap, and i also bought energy suspension bushings for the b16 linkage.

well i put the bushing near the shifter, but the bushing near the tranny is a lot smaller, it seems like the bushing for the tranny is made for the d series linkage instead of the b series

i dont know if for swaps i'm supposed to use the top half of the linkage of the b16 and the bottom half of the d16z6????? anyways i will post pics to show what i mean

your going to mix and match the linkage?

 

A- STOCK 94 CIVIC SI D16A6 SHIFTER TOP PART LINKAGE
B- 2000 B16A2 SHIFTER TOP PART LINKAGE
C- 2000 B16A2 SHIFTER LOWER PART LINKAGE
B+C= COMPLETE 2000 B16A2 SHIFT LINKAGE

am i supposed to use A and C and disregard B????????????????

 

Here's a closer view, notice how the energy bushings are way too small in order to fit the 2000 b16a2 shift linkage????

what should i do is this the wrong linkage????
I'm sure this is the right energy suspensions kit for a b16a2 but maybe i'm wrong the kit number is 16.1102G

 

use the full b16a linkage the d wont be long enough, just checked mine, and looked at yours. dont know about the bushings if it doesnt fit send it back, lol.

 

those are the wrong ones! the one you want is for the 2000SI. the bushing you have are the two piece ones, its for the later civics. The one you need is just a one piece bushing. If you take the bushing out of the linkage they gave you, it should look exactly like it (one piece). Either you tell them to send you a new one, or pepboys got the right one for $9.99. forgot the part number, but there are two diffrent ones for civics. and oviously you need the other one.

 

you got d series bushings. the b series are one piece and do not have a metal sleeve to insert in center.

you can also use a 94+ integra shift linkage, thats what i used for my swap into my eg hatch.
