Smog Registration Early - California
Curious about smog registration in California.
How early are you allowed to register/smog your car prior to the registration date?
I was told 6 months but wanted to confirm this.

I register it when its time to register it.
But im pretty sure as soon as you get the letter to reregister you could register right then and there.

yeah, it's even faster now that the DMV offer's online registration. That's what I did on my last smog registration. took less then 2 weeks to get the tags compared to the normal 3-4 weeks doing it through snail mail.

basically what i want to know is..
can you perform a smog on your car 6 months earlier to your registration being due.
if not 6 months, how much prior can you have a smog check done.
