Default multiple throwout bearings goin bad.

ok, had a new clutch assembly installed: new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing installed. throwout bearing went bad after a few months. had a new throwout bearing installed, thing went bad after a few months. a whole new clutch assembly was installed about 3-4 months ago. i can hear the throwout bearing goin bad again. that ticking sound it makes.

anyone have a clue whats goin on? three bad throwout bearings? i had goodyear do the install and it was an OEM clutch. how is it my car keeps goin through throwout bearings?

yes it was OEM, go to another shop? and pay again to have it installed? if it was a faulty install, ill have the shop pay for Honda to do it. are you gonna shell out the dough to just take it to another shop? im asking if someone has had this happen before. and if there might be something wrong with my prelude.

what clutch are you running, sounds like the clutch isn't installed right and the realease bearing is not fully releasing off of the pressure plate

its a cricket sound when i let off the clutch. if i hold the clutch pedal down, there is no noise. but as soon as i left off the clutch all the way, theres a cricket noise. its a Honda OEM clutch. i dont know the exact name of the company who makes it. i dont see how the difference in which OEM company it is should make that big a difference considering they are OEM.

i dont know. clutch works, except for the the annoying and embarassing cricket noise. i just wonder what can be screwed up during an install that would make JUST the throwout bearing go bad. clutch works! i just want to know what the hell is up with the throwout bearings.

that sound you're describing is not you release bearing it's one of your bearing(s) inside your transmission most likely a mainshaft or counter shaft. trans will have to come down again. this common with honda's.
