white powder

i cleaned my engine with this meguiars degreaser, i waited a few hours for the engine to cool to the touch and i applied this. after i rinsed it all off and dried it, there is white residue on certain areas.

I would get a rag and wipe it off........

i tried that... just the loose powder wiped off. there are still white smears

repeat above step...wet the cloth first this time.
