jdm front end hood latch???

jdm front end hood latch???
i just got my jdm front installed and i didnt have a chance to get the hood latch off of a 91-93 teg yet. so the body shop told me to just use a screw driver to pop the hood. they said there was some thing i could push to make it pop on the hood latch, but they never showed me how.
does anyone know how to do this?

Hey dude,
Take your stock hood latch and you know the part that you push up on to open the hood, just bend it in the opposite direction and get the 90-93 cable.
