Mustang dyno: 12.0 hp @ 50 mph
One of the parameters that must be put into a mustang dyno before it is used for a vehicle is the number of horsepower it takes to maintain a speed of 50 mph (for the specific vehicle). This number is really a reflection of the amount of drag that a vehicle has to fight when it is going 50 mph. A sleeker car will need less hp to maintain 50 mph while a box on wheels will require more hp to maintain a speed of 50 mph to overcome its wind resistance.
So if I enter in 8 hp @ 50 mph into the mustang dyno, will it give me higher horsepower readings than if I enter 12 hp @ 50 mph??

It will be interesting to learn about what you are asking, saddly I cannot offer you any information.

If you are using the dyno for it's intended purpose of "tuning" rather than boosting your ego then I see nothing wrong with any repeateable dyno.
Back on topic, how exaclty does one find out the right ratio to plug into the dyno in the first place?

So then why not use the figure provided in the database for your vehicle?

i run a mustang dyno at work. yes you can add what ever drag you want. yes the hp will change not drastically maybe 1-5hp. all the info you input into the computer is printed out when you print the dyno sheet. as long as you stick to 1 dyno for tunning you are golden. also that drag is very usefull to street tune cars. 8 out of 10 cars we tune on the mustang dont need anything for fine tunning so for that reason alone we chose a mustang not a dynojet. one more thing the usaul mustang will put out less HP then a dynojet.
