OT: What do you guys think about spreading some holiday cheer?

OT: What do you guys think about spreading some holiday cheer?
I've just been thinking lately I know a lot of us here in the R community are really blessed and maybe this holiday season we could try and help out some of those less fortunate than us.
If each of us gave $5-$20 to a worthy charity we could easily generate $500-$1000. All of us giving the price of a lunch could really end up turning someone's holiday around. It'd be nice to know that we're more than just a bunch of guys talking about cars and that we're actually doing something
If you guys are interested maybe we could vote on a charity and have a mod set up an account. Not trying to dump the responsiblity on a mod just figured people would be more trustworthy if a mod set up the account.
So anybody have an idea on a charity? I was thinking maybe...

Yeah definitely a great idea to dedicate the donation to Thomas and Jody.
