i bout some component speakers for my 92 prelude, and i want to put them in, but i dont know how to get to the old ones! i want to just pop off the screen but its real tight and i dont want to break something.

and help would be greatly appreciated.

 

wait.. rear speakers or fronts? by screen do you mean the teeter covers, or the actual screen over the door panel speakers?

 

the screen on the 6 1/2s in the front doesnt come off, you have to take off the door panel, or at least unscrew the screws holding it in so you can lift it up and take the speakers out

 

and in the back they are attached to the speakers. remove the 3 nuts in the trunk. For the front their are 2 screws holding the panel on and 1 in the handle and another in the panel holding the switchs. Remove all of those and the panel will pop right off.

 

take off the door panel.

what size are the fronts and what size are the rears? is there any difference in size in S, SI, and VTEC model?
