1997 Honda accord lx. Weirdest thing happened today. I turned my AC on and every time I would turn my wheels all the way left or right there would be this harsh screeching noise from the area where all the belts are. So i found an empty lot and started driving in a circle and as soon as I push AC button sounds starts, as soon as I turn off AC button it stops while driving in circles LOL. What could it be? It sounds like when AC is on and Power sttering kicks in thats when it starts screeching whenever AC is off its driving absolutely fine.

Also, Driving back from the empty parking lot home and I hear my engine suddenly starts sounding deeper like all of sudden my muffler gets disconnected for a second. Like if i would be in 2nd gear driving 20mph it would sound constant at one tone and as soon as I would make a turn while still holding in gear at the same speed the sound would go VROOOMM deep like a camaro like all of sudden i got a straight pipe and then it would go back to quite. Go figure...

I know these are two separate issues so any ideas on any of them would be greately appreciated.

first sounds like a/c pulley getting bad, not sure of the other 1

 

you prob need to change or adjust your AC and power steering belt.
