Default 99-00 Civic Si B16a. Want to buy a turbo. Whats the best setup?

I have a 99 civic hatch with a b16a2 swap. I just drive it on weekends only. I want to buy a greddy turbo kit for 2700 with intercooler. That is expensive though. I wanted to know what is a better setup for a cheaper price.

Thanks

full race is the far superior kit on the market...id say you could budget shop (Ie. search EBAY and the classifieds) and you could piece together something custom for around 3 grand..

With 3 grand you could buy a stage 1 Full-Race kit. I think.

Build your own kit. The only thing that buying a pre made kit buys you is pre cut charge piping and directions without any good engine manangement. Also by creating your own kit you can choose the best turbo for your application and not take any kit sellers word that they will create a set amount of power at a psi. The money that you save from making your own kit would be enough to put in new pistions and rods to create some serious power. the parts that you need are

Turbo precion SC34 $700
450cc injectors $50 junkyard DSM
BOV $10 junkyard DSM also
charge piping (5 mandel bent Us from ubend man on ebay) $100
IC (johnny racecar or CCA) $300
Clutch $200
E mang ps9 TE junkyard $20
Gauges $100
Total $1480

Alot cheaper and better than any greddy kit. I would want to save my self 1600 bucks just to cut a few pipes myself.
