Kirk Olson (yes, the guy who placed 3rd in GT5 at the runoffs) is trying to do a group buy from KONI for the LAST 6 sets of shortened/revalved/double adjustable front struts for these cars. We have 4 people in for sure, we need two more. I figure someone here might need a set. Kirk is fronting the money himself, and we pay him. The cost is $807.70 plus shipping (say $20 a set) for a pair of frronts. These are designed to Kirk's specs (valved for 25-29mm t-bars), which he used to set the track record at Mid-Ohio with. Once these are gone, the chance of getting more will be slim to none, as KONI has EOL'ed them and is not planning to manufacture more of them.

Just to clarify something I probably already know the answer to...

If one has a set of Konis already, can they be revalved, say to Kirk's specs? Just as an example?

I have a set of Konis already, but they may need to be rebuilt/revalved soon. Just seeing what my options are.

I paid for a full set (front and rear) several months ago but still don't have them yet dammit... (from different source) Supposedly they'll be done in a week, but if they aren't then I'm in....
BTW you can still get custom valved/shortened konis from OPM they aren't cheap either...

And yes, koni reds/yellows can be rebuilt, not sure what other models but I belive most can be done...

I have a set for the front and LOVE them on my 87 Teg with the 27.5mm tbars.

 

I'm with ryan (DSPDA3) on this one. I already have the 'stock' length yellows.

 

Anyone know of any used single adjustable konis for the 1st gen CRX for sale?? I do not need double adjustables and cannot justify $400/strut at this point.

OPM can do single adjustables for the 1st gen CRX for ~$300 each that would be shortened and revalved- assuming they still have parts left.

 

Mine will be for sale when I know for sure that I am getting the bling bling ones in. The adjuster is stuck on one, the other is fine. Only a year of use on them (5 Solo 2, 6 Solo 1)
