Default OT: Nationwide vehicle theft study for 01-03

http://www.nicb.org/public/new...s.cfm

The NICB Vehicle Theft Study contains vehicle theft rates and rankings for Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) in the United States from 2001 through 2003.

Thefts: Number of vehicles stolen in a particular year as reported to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
Rank: How vehicle theft rate compares nationally in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
Rate: The number of vehicle thefts reported per 100,000 population.

Click the link and it'll bring you to a map where you can see, by state and msa, vehicle theft rates.

Notably, there were 75,369 thefts in LA for 03, and only 27,668 in NYC.

I wonder how many of these were hype-AAArr's?

nyc isnt the hotbed for stolen cars...its the surrounding towns and cities like Newark and Jersey City. All these cities in close proximity add up to pretty big numbers.

I wish there was a way to figure out the percentage of R's on the road, to the R's stolen. Its gotta be near the top of the list.

Wow Modesto, Stockton, and Sacramento has the top three highest theft rates in California. In another note, my uncle who lives in Stockton is having his wedding in Sacramento this Saturday. Looks like the R is staying home for this one.

Hahaha....look at Hawaii bitches! There is no report because last year there were just over 750 state wide car thefts. People are to busy doing things productive like getting stoned or surfing

Brando: Who is glad is caRRR will be out of Seattle soon
