Help building all-motor F23A
I have considered boosting many times on my Accord, but I would much rather go an all-motor setup just to be different. The only problem is I don't know much about getting into the motor of my car. I need some advice on parts things I should use to go all-motor, or if it's even worth it. I'm not looking to stomp everyone, but I'd like to have a 50+ hp increase, or up to 100 would be outstanding. With a budget of around 5g, I'm pretty sure I can do this. Here's what I have planned so far.
-replace all gaskets
-use a Cometic Head Gasket
-Ross pistons... should I go for the 9.5, 10.5 or 11.1 comp?
-Performance Rings
-Toga Main Bearings
-Toga Rod Bearings
-Performance wrist pins
-Thrust washers
-Expansion Plugs
-port and polish
-high compression cylinderhead
-racing valve grind
-ported intake manifold
-high flow throttle body
-cam
I want to know how reliable a setup like this would be in comparison to a turbo setup running 8-9 pounds. Let me know of any parts/manufactures where I can get the best cam, intake manifold, crank, or anything else that an all-motor car should have. If you've got something to say that just makes you feel better about yourself, then post somewhere else. If you have a good point on something please post it and maybe help out others too. Thanks in advance.

you could use the h22a4 block with your f23 crank and rods, and then use some h22 type s pistons...it would come out to somewhere around 2.4 liters and would be quite the power maker...
Nick that sounds like a start to something good! Anywhere I might find some more info on what other labor or parts are involved? Thanks.
Throw on a h23 head. I saw the dyno of pirates motor. It make like 168hp and 160 torque. It has it compared to his h22 and it makes way more power and torque through the whole powerband. It made more torque then his old h22 made hp. It was also 140 torque by 2.5k rpms. Things has to be so fun on a track.Go here for his G23 build. This is what im gonna start very soon. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1053528
