Default Question about racecars in H1...

As I read through the Honda-Challenge rulebook (almost nightly) I have often wondered about one particular part that is not 100% clarified in my mind.

When reading about H1, and reading about racecars with say a World Challenge/GAC past, it mentions that the cars MAY compete in HC, but will be bumped up one class due to the extra preparation (bigger brakes, pricey shocks, you get the idea.) What about racecars that are considered 'hybrids' that are bored to 2.0L and beyond for World Challenge, or are sporting Moton's all the way around. An example I guess would be the Realtime RSX that was on ebay a week or two ago. The car no doubt has quite a bit of horsepower from an extensive and expensive build, and does in fact sport Moton dampers. I'm assuming this car would NOT be legal for HC competition with the mods... I dunno, I'm just trying to figure out how incredibly NOT smart I am in reading rule books.

Another reason I ask is because I've been looking at a few racecars that have competed in other series, and just may be sporting some fancy dampers themselves... Just trying to get my head "in the game"

If a vehicle is overprepared for H1, it is unclassed, therefore disallowed in the Honda Challenge. In other words, for a car to be legal for H1, it must fit within the ruleset for the class. Who knows what the future will bring, though.

FYI, for any official answers concerning the HC, feel free to e-mail info@honda-challenge.com. Although the answer above is correct at this time, who knows what might change as I'm not an official anymore (thank God)

specific mods may be allowed however I know an engine bored to 2.0L will not.

It might not be HC legal but you could compete in the super unlimited, plus as you have already might have seen there are alot of Nicely Preppred H1 cars that do very well why bother with something else?
