Default Just wondering...

if anyone knows what othe transmissions, besides the ex or si (the same?), can be used on the D16Z6. I have an automatic right now and I definetly want a stick. It would be nice if an Integra trans would fit, but i doubt it. Anyway, the help is much appreciated. Thanx

I believe any d-series tranny will work on that motor. Of course, you'll have to take into whether or not your car runs a cable or hydro transmission.

does that include like the D16 from the CRX? Would it be more worth it to just change out the bottom end to a CRX to achieve the "minnie-me" conversion? Thanx

Wouldn't work without some sort of cable to hydro conversion kit. You have a hydro tranny in your Sol. CRX's have a cable. There really isn't a point in using that. Just more headaches. Find and 92-95 EX/Si tranny if you want shorter gears.

True, i was just saying that, because 1: it probably easy to find a D16 block and trans off a crx, 2: i'd rather have a cable tranny, 3: the why not get more power too. I don't know just an idea, but thanx for the help anyway.

Any 92+ Civic tranny will work, but the best is the 93-95 Civic Si or Sol Si tranny.

Teg tranny won't even come close to fitting the engine.
