Default Legend weird noise

My legend makes this really loud ticking noise. Does anyone have this problem or know what could be the cause? On other hondas, I would guess the valves need to be adjusted, but I believe legends have hydraulic lifters (correct me if Im wrong).

where is the ticking coming from, how loud is it, is it constant, or does something specific make it happen

its coming from the head, possibly the valvetrain, but its hard to tell w/ aluminum. anyhow, its constant and increases frequency w/ engine rpm. it doesn't get louder; just kind of gets muffled as the rpm increases, therefore its really noticeable at idle.

really? then i guess that cylinder would be misfiring also, or did you notice a little loss of power and gas economy?

if a coil pack is fucked, then yes, you would notice a difference in performance and fuel usage. it wouldnt be misfiring, but it would be dumping gas and air in, and going right back out the exhaust. but chances are the o2 sensor could read that, and would be cutting back the amount of fuel it is putting in the engine..

yup. checked the coil pack. it was within specs, but #3 was all dusty brown. after taking the plugs out, #3 had a broken tip!! damn, if i can't fish that tip out, i would need to take off the head to get it huh? should i put in all new plugs and hope the tip would discinerate? for now, i'm off to get the plugs. i need new ones anyway..
