Default Different country, same bull$hit...

You just gotta love how insurance co's operate. I had to make a claim recently and all of a sudden the deductable went up 400 bucks to 700. So I laughed at the slip of paper and got on the phone and read my entire policy to them, then had the dealership call them up to bitch. So finally they said OK the deductable is 300.

Pisses me off because they were just trying to see what they could get away with, my wife was ready to pay it, I flipped! Get this, they tried to say I had a special car becasue it is from Japan. They said any car imported can be deemed special. I was like ok *******, where on my policy does it say that? They said page 9, so I go to page 9 and it says that a "special excess fee applies to drivers with a poor driving record and/or accident history." Well I'm a rating 1, so is my wife, so they had nothing left for ammo.

This is why it pisses me off when people try to get a bit extra from a claim and people act like their frauds. **** THAT, the insurance co is trying to do the same thing to us x 10! They just tried to scam my *** out of 400 bucks, double my original excess.

I seriously doubt it was a theft issue. At least here in switzerland the R isnt looked up to at all and it's already an 'old' car that isnt fast.

Did you consider switching companies or writing a letter to a supervisor or anything? Good work on handling your business.

insurance companies are evil. no joke. good job on arguing. however, do as haleiwa-brando advised and write a letter to the supervisors.
