Default Shoe skid plates

Im still a little new to sport bikes and i friend was asking me to make him skid plates for is shoes. (i do a little metal work) you know when people stand on the side of their bike and slide their feet on the road? yeah that's what its for. He said that hes herd of people riveting the plate to the shoe but im wondering if there is another way to do it... and ideas???

Yeesh. Skid plates for shoes. I swear you're supposed to be dragging knee, not tarsals.

jb weld would work!!! it would stick to the shoe via tread, and the metal would be no problem. being that its designed for metal. thanks.

PS Ive never seen biker boys

why do you need plated shoes...a few guys I know just hop off the side in their regular shoes. Its not like you have all your weight on your feet, it more on your chest on the gastank.
