Ok, after 4 months of laboring over finding this goddamn noise, retiming, sweating at night thinking it was a a knocking rod, ect.ect. I find this little solioind left over from my old venom manifold, attached to the firewall. Looks like this. THe NOISE IS GONE!!! YAYA!



It was attached to my firewall below my fuel filter, I removed it, Again I think it was left over from my old venom manifold, and was just making noise, Im REALLY glad I figured this out. SO good now. Idles fine, drives fine, no CEL, so I guess I dont need it What does this thing do? Do I actually need it? It had NO vacum lines hooked up to it, I was assuming it should have?Can I regulate fuel pressure or something?

Sounds like the EVAP PURGE solenoid.
Not really necessary but I would think it would throw a code for it.
